Moraira is an old Spanish fishing village on the Costa Blanca that has become a tourist resort. Moraira belongs to the municipality of Teulada, part of the Marina Alta comarca.<\/p>\n

Moraira, located between and on the beautiful coastal road between Calpe and Denia, has a few sandy beaches. The Playa L\u00b4Ampolla of approx. 1.5 km on which you can constantly keep an eye on the rock of Calpe, El Pe\u00f1\u00f3n de Ifach. And the small rustic Platja del Portet, hidden against the Cap d\u2019Or mountainside on the north side of the town. In the south lies the relatively quiet Platja Platgetes, where nearby rocks are a favorite place for snorkeling and the striking image Hombre mirando al mar by Toni Mar\u00ed Sart.<\/p>\n

For a small village like Moraira, parties are regularly organized and events often take place. Some national holidays are celebrated somewhat larger, such as Epiphany on January 5 with the arrival of the three Wise Men and Corpus Christi on June 7 with processions. Nice to remember is the Carnival in Moraira with parades and the tradition to bury sardines.<\/p>\n

Every year in the first or second weekend of September the gastronomic festival Festa del Moscatell takes place, with a gastronomic market where you can eat and drink something. You can also participate in a wine tasting.<\/p>\n

DOLIA<\/h2>\n

Dolio also takes place every year on the first or second weekend of September. The harvest of the grape is celebrated during this festival. Cooking demonstrations are given, something is tasted and there is music.<\/p>\n
